Report posted by Capt. Lindsay Fuller of the June Bug on 8/28/06

Did June Bug have a great party on board today! Mark Kuminski brought his two children, Taylor and Kyle, and can these kids fish.

We went back to Barnegat Ridge South where we had plenty of fish the day before and from the minute Mate Dante Soriente put the lines in, Taylor and Kyle, 10 and 7 respectively, kept busy cranking away at Bluefish, False Albacore, and Bonita.

Sea conditions were not flat either. There was about a 10 to 12 knot Northeast breeze that kept things interesting but nobody did anything but fish all day!

Toward the end of the day we did make a pass up to Barnegat Ridge north where two party boats from Barnegat Light had been chumming. We were nowhere near either of them when they both pulled their anchors and started back to port. Miss Barnegat Light was rude enough to barely miss our stern cutting off several of our lines. Not only was that poor from a manners outlook, the children on board were really frightened. Perhaps the captain of the Miss Barnegat Light needs to work on managing the fact that there are other boats on the ocean and to tone down his aggressive behavior.

The Kuminski family is welcome on June Bug any day. We had a great time with them.

We have openings for tuna trips over Labor Day weekend. Call me on my cell at 609-685-2839 to discuss.
