Report posted by Capt. Lindsay Fuller of the June Bug on 7/03/06 Bluefin Tuna fishing burst wide open in the last week. Boats have been catching between 3 and 20 fish daily ranging from 15 to 100 pounds. Many nice sized Mahi Mahi are mixed in too. We have found that ballyhoo is the best bait to use. These fish want meat! They have been hard to catch on lures. We can keep two Medium Bluefins (47" to less than 73")and one School Bluefin (27" to less than 47")per trip. Let's go fishin'!
